The CrossFit 101 program builds a strong foundation to prepare you both mentally and physically for life-long health and fitness. In this five session program you’ll learn the skills that make up the primary components of CrossFit and our training methodology, bringing you back to the basics of "functional movement" and the guiding principles behind everything we do. This will include body weight movements, weightlifting technique, strength training, endurance and gymnastics elements. The focus is on proper technique, form, and developing a suitable approach to group workouts based on your own strengths and weaknesses with the help of a certified coach.
How it works.
The program is comprised of five 90 minute sessions that will allow you to work on your skill development in a focused and relaxed environment. During each session, your coaches will detail the underlying principles associated with each movement, exercise, or skill. They will guide you through the execution of each movement, providing feedback and prescribing corrective cues or exercise modifications as necessary. Each session will include a WOD or "Workout of the Day" that will incorporate the movements reviewed. Sessions will conclude with mobility and flexibility work complimentary to the movements employed during the instruction and the workout. Our five sessions cover The Squat, The Pull, Overhead, Gymnastics and Nutrition.
Who's it for?
CrossFit 101 is for everybody. It doesn't matter what your current fitness level is or how long you've been coming to us. Whether you have years of strength and conditioning training or you are brand new to the gym, the program can be modified and scaled for your level. The purpose is to further your understanding of exercise physiology, and help you achieve your athletic performance or fitness goals.

Each session will consist of a classroom style lesson on proper technique and form, followed by a brief workout that will help you utilize the information shared. Whether you are brand new to CrossFit or a seasoned athlete who would like to be "brought back to the basics", you are guaranteed to benefit from this program. CrossFit 101 sessions include: The Squat, The Pull, Overhead, Gymnastics and Nutrition.
